Ridings Road House

Located in Remuera, Auckland this house was featured in the architecture and interior magazine Home and Entertaining (April-May 2002). Designed for a family of five, this house is located on a steep site with urban views to the north-east. The house is located below the street.

With a floor area of approximately 330m2, this house is zoned into formal and informal living areas, separate adult and children’s sleeping accommodation, with a basement recreation area and a home office suite. A swimming pool was also included as a part of the accommodation.

The house was designed to provide a range of exterior living spaces, from high level balconies resembling a ships deck through to sheltered courtyard spaces carved out of its western flank.
